Crown and Bridges Snoring

Crowns are needed when a tooth as lost tooth structure and it is weak.  Before a crown can be made tooth is strengthened by a process call build up. Build up replaces the missing tooth structure . After build up tooth is cut down in a specific shape and a scan or impression is send to a laboratory . The lab fabricates a crown based upon the impression. Crown can be of Zirconia , porcelain fused to metal or gold. Which material is the best for a specific tooth depends upon multiple factors that include patient bite, available solid tooth structure and finish line.

At MTCS we carefully consider all the factors and discuss it with patient.  We will show pt xrays of their teeth and explain why a crown is needed.  We make sure patient is comfortable with procedure and during the prep appointment we give patient local anesthesia to make them comfortable

We mostly use high quality Zirconia material for crowns . After placing the crown we take an xrays to make sure its fits properly . We recommend that our patients follow up with routine dental care so that we can make sure that teeth and crowns are in good shape.
